How to Convert MBR to GPT
Error:
Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI Systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks.
Master Boot Record (MBR)
–disks are use the Standard BIOS Partition table. GUID Partition Table (GPT)
disks are use unified Extensible Firmware Interface UEFI. The Main advantage of
GPT disks is that you can more four partition on each disk. GPT is also
required for disks larger than 2TB (Terabyte).
Converting
MBR to GPT Using Command line
During the time of Operating System (OS), its will
shows error “Windows cannot be installed
to this disk. The Select disk has a MBR partition table. On EFI Systems,
Windows can only be installed to GPT disks”.
Follow this instruction to fix this issues
Following steps to convert MBR to GPT
2. Type diskpart
and hit enter key. ( When you see the dialog Box asking for Permission, Please
Click Yes )

Type listdisk
( Its shows all the drive )
4.
Type select
disk 1 ( replace with your disk number of MBR Disk List)
5.
Type Clean
6.
Type Convert
gpt
7. Type Exit and Hit Entry Key.

Create partition once
Convert to GPT and also install the Operating System (OS) without any issue.
How to
Change MBR to GPT via Computer Management.
To change a data disk to GPT, you must delete all the
partitions on the MBR disk in Disk Management. Otherwise the “Convert to GPT Disk”, Option Will be
greyed out in Disk Management. You will see it choosable after removing the
Existing Partitions.
Steps to
Change MBR to GPT by Disk Management
Step 1. Righ-click on "This PC" or
"My Computer", choose "Manage", and select "Disk
Management".
Step 2. Right-click each partition on the target
MBR disk and choose "Delete Volume".
Step 3. Click "OK" to
confirm the deletion, and repeat Step 2 to delete all partitions on the disk.
Step 4.When the whole disk displays as unallocated,
right-click on the MBR disk and choose "Convert to GPT Disk".
Close Disk Management. Use your new disk to create as many
partitions as you want or install a new Operating System OS on the disk.
